Helena picks up on the second ring. "Hello, darling. What can I do for you?"

"Helena! Help! Stop your woman from murdering my face!"

Yes, Pete is yelping a bit high in volume.

[claudiometer]

Claudia sighs. "Don't listen to him. Check the computer and see where there's an Artifact disturbance? Pete, in his infinite wisdom, decided to play with the bendy spoon and he has no idea where he lost it."
Yes, she's glaring in Pete's general direction at the end of that.
"We're already getting pretzeled down here, so this is kind of urgent."

"Why on earth would I care about your face, Pete? Oh, bollocks, that can't be good." Helena turns away from the screen for a moment. "Claudia? I do not understand what this damn program is doing. It's going haywire."

Helena turns the Farnsworth to the computer screen to show what's on it. Every single Artifact in the Warehouse is show as out of place.

[claudiometer]

"...Fuck fuck fuck fuckity fuck."
There is no possible way that's a good thing.

Pete's face goes whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite. If facial expressions could talk, his would scream: DID I DO THAT?!

"Fuck. Alright." Joshua takes a deep breath. "Helena, stay there and we'll..."

Joshua is cut off by a rumble of thunder from some grey clouds beginning to collect near the roof. "Shit. She is not happy. We need to fix this, and fast."

"I'll stay here, darlings. Call if you need anything." Helena hangs up, but only after blowing a kiss to... well, everyone, trying to cover her very concerned face.

[claudiometer]

Claudia sighs and puts her Farnsworth back in her tool belt, then fixes Pete with a glare.
"All right, Mister Intuition. You got us into this mess, and I think you and your vibes are going to have to get us out of it."

"It is only too bad his vibes did not prevent it in the first place."

Siiiigh.

[pitchingcurves]

"In my defense, nobody really thinks a spoon's gonna cause a black hole."

But nobody thinks artifacts will do half the things they do.

"Fuck's sake, Pete. Do you think that a telegraph is going to make you hallucinate? Or a camera's going to steal someone's youth? No. Now, how the hell're we going to find this damn thing?"

He's getting a bit heated.

[claudiometer]

"I vote Pete retraces his steps. Since he's so good at that and all."
To be fair, he probably does have the best shot at finding the stupid spoon of all of them, given the current state of things.

"Have we extra gloves? Just in case."

Extra protection seems pertinent.

"Claud's probably got something in her toolbelt. I just grabbed one pair for me." Joshua's simmering a bit, especially after he noticed the look on Claud's face. He pulls his pair out of his back pocket.

Somewhere 'I'll make a man out of you' starts playing. Not literally.

[claudiometer]

"I always have extra gloves. As long as I don't only have five, but if I do, Pete gets the odd one out."
Sorry-not-sorry, Pete. It's just that this is Claudia's third near miss with a black hole and she's a little freaked out right now. She'd be a lot more freaked out if they didn't have A Problem To Fix.
(She is so hiding in Joshua's lab after this. Fuck fuck fuck.)
Fortunately, she has enough spare gloves that everyone can have a full pair. "Okay. Pete. You're up."

Pete takes the gloves and snaps them on, closing his eyes to better feel out his vibe.

"Sorry, guys." His apology is genuine. He really didn't mean for THIS to happen!

"Just fix it and it's fine," Myka says, patting his shoulder. She has confidence he can.

Joshua reaches to his side, then winces. "Shit. My ball's in my lab. That'll teach me to go around without my bag. If we can find the way back to my lab, then it might help."

[claudiometer]

"I still think our best bet is letting Mister Vibes lead the way. Obviously we can't trust a map right now, or doing this by memory."
The actual apology does help a little. A little. Not much. She's still freaking the fuck out.

Pete frowns and thinks for a sec.

"If we go right, but Joshua better make sure to duck."

[damncompass]

"Why do I need to duck?" In saying that, Joshua probably is going to walk right into or get whatever it is dropped on his head.

[claudiometer]

"So something doesn't hit you in the face and whammy you?"
These Artifacts are not fucking around, as we like to say.

"Ahh, watch out!" Myka warns, grabbing Joshua's arm as a shelf seems to want to bend around to hug him.

"Ack!" Joshua somewhat instinctively grabs Myka's hand in the chaos. "Er, thanks, guys. I don't need yet another concussion."
