Pete frowns and thinks for a sec.

"If we go right, but Joshua better make sure to duck."

[damncompass]

"Why do I need to duck?" In saying that, Joshua probably is going to walk right into or get whatever it is dropped on his head.

"So something doesn't hit you in the face and whammy you?"
These Artifacts are not fucking around, as we like to say.

"Ahh, watch out!" Myka warns, grabbing Joshua's arm as a shelf seems to want to bend around to hug him.

"Ack!" Joshua somewhat instinctively grabs Myka's hand in the chaos. "Er, thanks, guys. I don't need yet another concussion."

[claudiometer]

Claudia's just... gonna follow. And have one hand on a static bag. And keep an eye on her surroundings. And try not to panic.

Myka holds Joshua's hand in return, before turning to reach for one of Claudia's as well. "We'll be fine," she offers comfortingly, "We just need to think this through."

"Dude," Pete says wearily, "I didn't say to stop ducking."

Suddenly the shelves seem to be shooting out random items rather closely above their heads.

"Fuck." Joshua ducks again, narrowly missing half of a silverware set that seems to be aiming for his head. "This isn't good. Uhm. Wait. If this is that silver set, and we're not completely fucked, there's a set of helmets at the end of this aisle. They're mostly harmless."

[claudiometer]

Yes thank you Myka you're brilliant.
"Mostly harmless? What do they do?"
Important Questions before Claudia goes putting any Artifacts on her head.

"Mostly harmless. We talking like a lamb or like it was written by Douglas Adams?"

His player doesn't thoroughly enjoy being able to make a reference to that book series at all. Really.

Pete scampers quickly to get the helmets and brings them back, putting one on each of their heads real quick.

Myka blinks.

"Pete. Why would you ask why it's mostly harmless and use it in the same breath?"

The helmets are basic yellow plastic hard hats. Mostly ill-fitting, but solid.

"They're fine, guys. I promise. They absorb impact." He adjusts his. "Just... we need to be careful, because they tend to get stuck if they're on too long. I think goo would get them off, though."

"Ouch. Talk about a bad case of helmet hair."

Claudia sighs, and doesn't dignify Pete's joke with a response. "The same reason he touches everything in a museum, I'm assuming."
(For the record, she generally assumes it's 'written by Douglas Adams' mostly harmless.)

Joshua rolls his eyes. "Good one, Pete." His tone is... not exactly supportive. "Anyway," He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "We should be alright, until we find this damn spoon." It probably wouldn't be a good thing if he were to wander by the compass right now.

"This spoon?" Doug inquires in a weary voice as he wanders in from around the corner. All he had done was use a spoon to eat his cereal, and now he's been wandering around this place for what seems like hours!

It's a good thing he never leaves a bowl behind, or else he might not still have it at all.

"--Yes that spoon here drop it in quick."
It's impressive how fast Claudia has that static bag at the ready. But no really seriously before it turns into a black hole.

Joshua takes off his helmet and leans against one of the support poles. He closes his eyes, and takes a deep breath. "No. We're not out of the woods yet. She's still hurting. It's not as bad as before, but something's still wrong. Pete, you getting anything?"

Pete reaches to pat another pole, kinda like he's rubbing someone's back. "Sorry I screwed you up, girl," he murmurs before frowning. "I'm still just getting duck."

Myka's been thinking and paying attention, and all of a sudden she raises her hand up high. "Anyone else feel that?" she inquires. "The air here feels odd, almost as if it is all flowing in one direction."

[damncompass]

"Yeah, I do." Joshua closes his eyes, and mutters to himself a bit. "I know you're hurting, but you have to tell us what and how." He puts a hand on the pole behind him, trying to make a connection.

"It was stronger where I started," Doug offers. "Seemed like a five minute walk away if not for that crazy geography bending."

[claudiometer]

"Or, now that we're no longer pretzeled, we could, I dunno, call Helena back and see if she can pinpoint the disturbance."
She's just sayin', that's easier than people who don't have a full bond with the Warehouse trying to talk to the Warehouse.

"Super smart Claudie to the rescue," Pete compliments her. Yeah, he's gonna be super nice to her for awhile to make up for all this shit.
