Jul. 21st, 2013 02:14 amJoshua, as usual, got up early, and is rummaging around in the kitchen making breakfast. As everyone woke up, they would smell eggs, waffles, bacon, and pancakes.
Artie and Steve are out on a ping and won't be back at least until tomorrow.
By the time anyone else got up, he's already set the table for breakfast.

Warehouse 13
South Dakota
On a normal day, this part of the Warehouse is pretty quiet. The shelves are the usual seemingly random collection of junk - not that any of it's junk, of course, but it would have that appearance to the untrained eye.
Of course, that's assuming today is normal, which it isn't...

The disconnection of the Warehouse zipline had more consequences than anyone realizes, yet. When it fell, it knocked several Artifacts off of the shelves. Some are relatively benign; others, not so much.
One of them would be benign, if it hadn't fallen through an air vent and broken open on some delicate machinery.
Deep in the bowels of the Warehouse, gears jam, groan, and grind to a halt. The energies the machine was meant to keep in check begin to build up, slowly at first, but with increasing speed and intensity. If they reach critical mass, the consequences will be... less than pleasant.
Meanwhile, on the main Warehouse floor, a wooden door propped up against a column in Toronto sector--a door labeled "Fixture #768898D, 'MILLIWAYS' DOOR"--has been jostled open.

Unnamed Unincorporated Settlement
South Dakota
It's a beautiful morning in Unnamed Unincorporated Settlement, and Leena and Myka are having tea and conversation. "I know you're feeling lost," Leena says sympathetically.
"What?" Myka asks, a bit confused.
"Artie's past, MacPherson, it can be a bit disorienting, I know."
"I feel pretty clear, actually. Things are the way they are, don't fight it, just go with it. Whenever I don't, I always end up back in the same place, not a good one." The two women share a smile. "Thank you for the tea."
